My Trading Equipment

This is the build of not only my first trading station but also my first PC.

I will update this page as the build progresses as I'm buying the hardware in stages.

My personal specification after speaking with various traders was that I must have a silent, fast, uncluttered PC with a quad core processor and lots of memory. having looked at the outright purchase cost of what i would be specifying the bill was running into the thousands of pounds by the time I have included monitors.

I expect this entire build with monitors and a desk to come in under the £1500 mark giving me plenty of extra funds for the full sky install and trading bank.

Novatech Prowler ATX Gaming case £29.99

  • AMD Quad Core Phenom II X4 840

  • 2 x 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz Memory

  • Onboard ATI Radeon 3000

  • FireMV 2400 Multiview Graphics accelerator

  • 750 WATT Silent Power Supply

  • 24x DVD +/- RW

  • 300Mbps wireless PCI Adapter

  • 80 Gig Solid State high speed drive

  • This Quad DVI card has been my best buy so far having won it on Ebay for just £89 delivered, these alone are presently retailing at over £350

The SDD is also an Ebay purchase £80 and what I consider to be a must have item for a trading station, no slow start ups, and no mechanical noise.

Assembly is very easy with this modular case, the only parts requiring a screwdriver were the motherboard.

My next purchase will be windows 7 and the first of my initial 3 monitors so that i can begin the setup process. There will also be over the next month or two the addition of a flat screen TV and a nice big desk.

There will be more pictures to come, i only ordered the PSU and optical drive today so I will update as soon as there here for install.
